More than handing out medication.
A pharmacy today is more than a dispensing point. A large part of what used to need a doctor's appointment happens here without an appointment and without waiting: measuring blood pressure and blood sugar, vaccinating, checking medication for interactions, assessing minor complaints.
You can come to us without an appointment and without registering, and we take that seriously. If we see that something belongs in a doctor's hands, we say so. If we can help, you are back out of the door in ten minutes.
Some of it needs no page of its own: we fit compression stockings, you get emergency contraception after a confidential conversation in the consulting room, and when supplies run short we tell you what is available and what the alternatives are. We do not pierce ears.
