Filling prescriptions in Cham, pick-up terminal around the clock
Filling a prescription in Cham: three ways
Bring the prescription in and we will prepare it while you wait. Have the doctor’s practice send it directly to info@anklinapotheke.ch, and it will be ready before you get here. Or send it yourself by email; a photo is enough. If the prescription comes electronically from the practice, as an e-prescription, the same route works.
As soon as everything is prepared, you get a collection code. With it you collect at the terminal around the clock, including on Sundays and after closing time. The technical term for such a device is a dispensing machine; ours stands right next to the entrance.
Why this terminal exists
Pharmacies close at half past six. Life does not. Anyone working until 18.30, on shifts, picking up children from nursery, or noticing on a Saturday evening that the pack is empty, used to stand in front of a locked door.
That is why there is a pick-up terminal outside on Poststrasse, accessible around the clock. In operation since 2024. Behind it works a storage robot that fetches your medication from the store and places it ready in the terminal.
What the terminal hands out, and where its limit is
It hands out what has been prepared for you beforehand. That covers prescription-only medication as well as over-the-counter preparations and care products from our range.
What it cannot do: hand out something spontaneously that was not ordered. And it is no substitute for an emergency service. If you need something at night that is not ready and waiting, you will find the right numbers on our emergency page.
Worth knowing
The terminal is no substitute for advice, and that is deliberate. If you are getting a medicine for the first time, we speak with you beforehand. The terminal is for the journey, not for the conversation.
For shift work, nursery hours and Saturday evenings
Commuters who leave the house before eight and are back after half past six. Parents whose day does not fit into opening hours. People on long-term medication who know what they need anyway. And everyone who simply does not like waiting.
If you get the same medication regularly, many people combine the terminal with blister packing or have everything brought by home delivery.
It is that simple.
No app, no account – from prescription to collection.
Frequently asked questions about the pick-up terminal
Do I have to register?
No. You need neither an app nor an account. The collection code you receive by email is enough.
How long does my order stay in the terminal?
Several days. If you cannot manage it for a longer period, we get in touch so that nothing expires. Preparations that need refrigeration are not stored in the terminal; we keep those back for you.
Can I also collect prescription-only medication?
Yes, provided the prescription is with us and the supply has been checked. For a first dispensing we speak with you beforehand.
Does this work on Sundays too?
Yes. The terminal runs continuously, including on Sundays and public holidays.
What if the code does not work?
Call us during opening hours and we will send a new one. Outside those hours: the code is tied to your order and does not expire overnight.
What does using it cost?
Nothing. You pay for your medication as you would otherwise.
